Primary sources first

Notes prefer peer-reviewed studies, systematic reviews, public research institutions, and official food-composition sources. Product facts use Forma's public policies and official store listings.

Limits beside claims

Each note distinguishes observation from estimate, names important missing inputs, and states when evidence does not validate Forma's implementation.

Dated review

Every note displays publication and review dates. Material corrections update the page date and the affected explanation or reference.

For a scientific claim, cite the original study linked in the relevant note. Cite the Forma note when describing Forma's public methodology, product interpretation, or stated limitations.

What remains proprietary

Forma publishes its signal definitions, broad input and output categories, research rationale, and limitations. It does not publish equations, coefficients, thresholds, smoothing windows, exercise-to-muscle mappings or weights, confidence scoring, recommendation rules, search ranking, or source code.

This boundary makes the public rationale reviewable without disclosing the implementation that differentiates the product.

Corrections, disclosures, and health limits

These notes are published by Forma and may discuss the Forma product. They are not independent product reviews, sponsored scientific studies, or medical guidance. Forma is a fitness and general-wellness app. Food values, strength estimates, recovery labels, TDEE, and progress signals remain estimates.
